Oceanwide plaza

Sitting directly across the street from the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, Oceanwide Plaza is a three-tower mixed-use project featuring a million square feet of retail space, and one of the largest LED screens in the world. The project utilized multiple types of facade panels each with unique design considerations. Grasshopper was used to generate a variety of panel outputs from one primary shape, a folded diamond. Facade panel data was utilized in the documentation process as shown above, while the lower image highlights a few of the locations where the different panels reside.
