description
This project, completed at Mode Lab, showcases an automated workflow to procedurally generate a number of mass customized arm braces built from human body scans. Utilizing procedural dependency graphs (PDGs) in Houdini, as well as custom automation tools built within Unreal Engine, this process facilitates generating outputs across a number of variables such as length, structural density, arm size and shape, etc. The combination of an automated procedural generation process and a real time environment such as Unreal provides substantial opportunity for the development of Mass Customized products. Within Unreal, a simple configurator UI is utilized to allow an end user to cycle through options, colors, and visualize the product in a simulated high fidelity environment.
