This project, completed at Mode Lab, showcases a co-creative workflow integrating Generative AI into an Advanced Product Creation workflow. Through the use of MLOPS to access Stable Diffusion directly in Houdini, we are combining the creative breadth of Generative AI with the power of procedural modeling. This approach maintains the role of a designer, allowing them to influence and take inspiration from Generative AI outputs. Working iteratively between image generation and modeling contexts provides several touchpoints for human direction. Additionally, this workflow provides a high level of control to establish aesthetic consistency throughout the process, allowing a team or brand to inject their own identity into the design.
