Advanced Algorithmic Latticing four ways.
Ongoing R&D effort building out a fully procedural rig in Houdini for creating a variety of different lattice types oriented towards additive manufacturing.
Each typology is able to be manipulated in various ways to optimize for performance by responding to volumetric pressure map data through the midsole geometry. Each structure is watertight, fully enclosed, and print-ready.
Further explorations will study how to push more performance optimization and analyze some key characteristic differences in the various lattice types, as well as simulation of forces on various lattice typologies.
